Biography
In 1979 he graduated from the Kharkov music school-ten in the clarinet, theory and history of music.
In 1984, he graduated with honors from the Moscow Conservatory with a degree in professor Dmitry Kitaenko , majoring in Opera and Symphonic Conducting .
In 1983 - 84 he worked as an assistant conductor at the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Moscow Philharmonic with his teacher, Dmitry Kitaenko.
In 1984 - 95 years - conductor (since 1991 - chief conductor) of the Kuzbass Symphony Orchestra .
In 1995, he won the First International Competition for Young Conductors. Lovro Matachicha in Zagreb ( Croatia ).
Since 1995 - artistic director and chief conductor of the Ural Academic Philharmonic Orchestra .
In 1997 - 98 years - the main Russian conductor of the Russian-American Youth Symphony Orchestra.
In 1998, he was an assistant to the chief conductor ( Valery Gergiev ) at the World Youth Music Forum and worked with youth symphony orchestras in the USA, China, Great Britain, Canada, Israel, Egypt, and South Africa. In the same year, he was invited by a jury member to the Second International Competition for Young Conductors in Zagreb .
From 1999 to 2003 - conductor of the Russian National Orchestra (RNO).
From 2016, Liss will become the main conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Southern Netherlands , formed in 2013 by the merger of the Brabant and Limburg Symphony Orchestras [3] .
