History

  • Secondary school number 117 was opened in 1962 .
  • In 1994 he was granted the status of a school with in-depth study of certain subjects, namely literature [2] .
  • In September 2004, an agreement on mutual cooperation between the school and OmSU was signed and the Board of Trustees was established to improve the efficiency of education [3] .
  • In 2006 and 2009, the school won grants in the amount of 1 million rubles in the nomination "The Best School" of the priority national project "Education" [4] .
  • In June 2007, the school was granted the status of a gymnasium [2] .
  • In 2014, a modern chemistry classroom was equipped in the gymnasium within the framework of cooperation with the Omsk Oil Refinery [5] [6] .
  • In July 2015, the gymnasium received the status of “Multidisciplinary Educational Center for the Development of Talent No. 117” and passed into regional subordination [7] . “There was a special teaching team. Teachers

The director of the center is Svetlana Valentinovna Boykova, who has been conducting the process of working with gifted schoolchildren since 2004 and has created a program for the development of a secondary school before the Olympiad center. The post of deputy director for experimental work is held by Alexander Savelyevich Shtern, head of the department of algebra of OmSU [14] . Mathematics teacher Irina Aleksandrovna Chernyavskaya and physics teacher Vladimir Ivanovich Davydenko (under whose leadership even seventh-graders solve the tasks of entrance olympiads [15] ), laureates of numerous teacher contests, who came in 2002 from Lyceum No. 64, are engaged in preparing talented schoolchildren for subject Olympiads and have already learned a few dozen winners and prize-winners of competitions from the municipal to the international level [16] . A total of 9 teachers of Omsk State University and 26 teachers of the highest category [2] , 8 winners of the “Best Teacher” competition and 6 winners of the Dmitry Zimin Foundation “ Dynasty ” prize [17] work in the center for 2016 .

Achievements

The center shows one of the highest results in Omsk in terms of the number of winners and winners of subject Olympiads, especially in physics and mathematics [18] . In 2013, 9 people received 100 points in various subjects of the Unified State Exam . In 2014 - the 15th academic year, 344 students of the center became city level winners, 114 - regional and 7 all-Russian [4] .

Nikita Kudyk, the winner of the Siberian stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of Schoolchildren in Mathematics [19] , the winner of gold medals at the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad [20] and the International Mathematical Olympiad of 2008 [21] , Konstantin Matveyev was the absolute winner of the IMO in 2007 [22] , and even more than a dozen prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad [4] . Among the achievements of the regional level one can single out a complete set of medals in mathematics and physics (starting from the 8th grade) in Nikolai Lucak, which happened for the first time in the history of the region [15] .

As a result, the center appears in the rankings of the best schools in Russia: from 2013 to 18-19 places in the list of the Ministry of Education , compiled on the basis of the Unified State Exam and subject competitions [23] [24] [25] . Since 2009, it has been running the municipal stage in mathematics in the Soviet district of Omsk [26] [27] .
