Story

In ancient times, in a remote Siberian village there lived a blacksmith - a great master - Teryokha Makhonin. But this is bad luck: he didn’t have an assistant-comrade-in-arms, but to one in such a business - how much will you earn. Once the blacksmith’s daughter called home to eat at noon. And he hears as if hammers are knocking at the forge. He went quietly and saw how a little daughter brought a pot of milk to the forge, and there on the bench a small old man with a long gray beard sits and tells the girl tales. Then the old man said that he loves music very much and quickly forged a pipe with hammers. Then the blacksmith did not tolerate and entered, and the old man disappeared. My daughter prayed: “Let the old little house stay with us.” The blacksmith replied: “Well, the grandfather knows the matter. If we work together. How many good wheels would be made. ”The brownie appeared and remained. They began to make wheels together in a forge with a half-word understanding each other. And he made the last 4 wheels of the brownie singing for a three-cart cart. The finished wheels were loaded by a blacksmith in a cart, and all went together to the fair. They are coming, and the dancing wheels are singing, the people around are surprised. In the forest, the robbers went out and said: “Give the horse and the cart!” And the brownie quietly: “Wheels, wheels, scare the robbers, play a soldier's song - outrageous!” And the blacksmith shouted: “Drive them!” The blacksmith drove the horse, the wheels whistled a soldier song, stunned robbers fled. There was a brisk trade at the fair, and the blacksmith quickly sold all the wheels. Let's go home and then the policeman came. He liked the singing cart and he took it to himself. The brownie whispered: “Wheels, wheels, take a shot at Kamarinskaya, so that the cart would dance, crushed the sideways.” The wheels sang loudly, the horse rushed, the cart jumped so that the city officer and his assistant flew straight into the river. A blacksmith and his daughter walked to the forest on foot, and there they were found by a brownie, who drove a horse with a cart. Many more solid wheels were made by skilled blacksmiths, and for a long time the memory of the singing tarateka lived and amused and delighted the people.
