Biography
Born on October 5, 1854. Of the noble Armenian [1] clan of the Karabakh prince Ivane Atabekyan is Melik Djraberd . Orthodox . Received general education at the Kiev military gymnasium.
He began his service on August 5, 1870, with a rank cadet at the 3rd Military Alexander School . On August 24 of that year, he was transferred to the Mikhailovsky Artillery School . At the end of the course, on August 10, 1873, was released as second lieutenant into the 1st battery of the 6th Equestrian Artillery Brigade . November 26, 1874 promoted to lieutenant .
From September 16, 1875, student of the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy . At the end of the 1st category course, on June 21, 1878 he was promoted to headquarters captain and assigned to the 1st battery of the guards equestrian artillery brigade “for success in science”. November 20, 1878 arrived at the duty station and enrolled in the 4th battery. On June 3, 1879, he was transferred to the Guards Horse-Artillery Brigade as lieutenant .
August 30, 1879 received the first award of the Order of St. Stanislav 3 degrees. On January 7, 1880, he was transferred to the guards platoon of the Training Horse-Artillery Battery. July 14, 1880 transferred to the equestrian artillery brigade. April 12, 1881 promoted to headquarters captain .
May 15, 1883 awarded the Order of St. Anne 3 tbsp. On September 28, 1884, he was appointed head of the 4th Battery of the Guards Equestrian Artillery Brigade. From April 30, 1887 to March 7, 1888, the chairman of the brigade court.

On June 30, 1895 he was appointed head of the training artillery range of the Odessa Military District with enrollment in the Guards Horse Artillery. April 21, 1913 was appointed chief of artillery of the Moscow Military District . In 1914 he was awarded the Order of the White Eagle . May 18, 1917 was credited to the reserve of ranks of the Moscow military district. For the abolition of the reserve dismissed from service on January 1, 1918. He died in 1918 and, according to his granddaughter, Maria Alexandrovna Atabekova-Dukhina (Kiev), was buried in the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.
