Biography
Club career
He started playing football in his hometown in an amateur club. There he was spotted by the scouts of the Utrecht club. He worked hard, but could not take a step into the main team of Utrecht and was leased to the Den Bosch club for the 2005/06 season. He made his debut in Den Bosch on August 12, 2005 in a match against Emmen , then the Worm club lost (3: 1). He spent a successful season in which he played 35 matches, so in the summer of 2006 he was added to the list of Utrecht players.
In preparation for the new season, Michel was a more reliable gate keeper than the other two Utrecht goalkeepers Frank Grandel and Jost Terol , so he began the 2006/07 season as the main goalkeeper. At the end of the season, according to fans of FC Utrecht, he was elected as the player of the year. He received the David di Tommaso Trophy , named after the former Utrecht player, David di Tommaso , who died of a heart attack.
In preparation for the next season, he ran into a game and sustained a shoulder injury. When he fully recovered and it was time to play with Heerenveen , he received a knee injury. After surgery, a piece of the meniscus on the right knee was removed [3] .
On August 7, 2011, Worm moved to Swansea City English for £ 1.5 million [4] . July 24, 2014 Worm moved to Tottenham Hotspur for 5 million pounds.
