Roberto Plano ( Italian: Roberto Plano ; born 1978 , Varese ) is an Italian pianist .

He graduated from the Milan Conservatory , a student of Eli Perrotta and Chiaralberta Pastorelli. He also took part in master classes by Lazarus Berman , Bruno Canino and other famous mentors. In 2001 , he won the Cleveland International Piano Competition in the USA, after which he gave a concert in New York, provoking the endorsement of a New York Times reviewer who witnessed his “artistic maturity” [1] .
He performed with orchestras led by Neville Marriner , Pinchas Zuckerman and other famous conductors, in an ensemble with the Takacs Quartet and the Jupiter Quartet. He released three albums with solo works by Frederic Chopin , Franz Liszt , Johannes Brahms , Alexander Scriabin .
