About the album
The box set includes compositions recorded by Presley for a decade and released during the life of a musician , with the exception of music sessions for recording soundtrack albums and television . The publication did not include Presley's gospel recordings and “live” performances of the musician.
The first four discs, including the first nine tracks of the fifth disc, represent studio recordings of the studio in chronological order of the music sessions held. The first eighteen tracks are from Elvis Is Back! ( 1960 ), including three singles that peaked on the music charts : “ Stuck on You , ” “ It's Now or Never, ” and “ Are You Lonesome Tonight? " ; along with their b-sides . The first three discs contain some of the most popular recordings of the musician in those years: “ Surrender ”, “ His Latest Flame ”, “ Little Sister ”, “ Suspicion ”, “ She's Not You ”, a cover version of Bob Dylan’s song “ Tomorrow Is a Long Time " and " US Male " . The third disc includes two previously unreleased recordings, unreleased alternative tracks , and three unedited versions of songs, including the long version of the musical medley “ Guitar Man ” / “ What'd I Say ” .
The fourth disc, including the first nine tracks of the fifth disc, contains all the released production of Memphis music sessions made at American studios and included in studio albums: From Elvis In Memphis ( 1969 ) and Back In Memphis ( 1969 ), as well as some singles 60s , including the hit of Mac Davis - Suspicious Minds . The fifth disc also contains nine previously unreleased alternative tracks, an unreleased version of Chuck Berry ’s song “ Memphis Tennessee ” , unreleased recordings of Memphis sessions, an unreleased version of the hit single “ It's Now or Never ” , which was # 1 on the 1960 music charts, as well as a record Presley's duet with Frank Sinatra - “ Love Me Tender ” / “ Witchcraft ” . The latter was first performed at the Sinatra television concert - Welcome Home, Elvis! dedicated to the return of Presley from the army in the early 1960s . The concert was broadcast on ABC and was held at the Fontainebleau Hotel ( Miami , Florida ).
The Sinatra / Presley Duo is recorded at the Fontainebleau Hotel ( Miami , Florida ). All other recordings were made at RCA Studio B in Nashville , Tennessee and at American Studios in Memphis , Tennessee . Original record producers : Steve Scholes , Chet Atkins , Felton Jarvis and Chips Moman .
