Biography

He was born on September 8 (21), 1910 [3] in the village of Yanova, now Lepel District, Vitebsk Region, in a peasant family. Russian He lived in the city of Rostov-on-Don . He graduated from 9 classes. He worked as a pressman at the Rostselmash plant .

In 1932-1934 he served in the Red Army . Then he worked as the head of the educational part of the school of the junior command staff of the Ministry of the Interior in the city of Novorossiysk.

In June 1941 he was again drafted into the army. In 1942 he graduated from the Ordzhonikidze Military Infantry School. He fought on the Northwest, Stalingrad and 3rd Ukrainian fronts. In 1943 he joined the CPSU (b) . He distinguished himself in battles when crossing the Dnieper.

On October 24, 1943, the guard Captain Yalugin, at the head of the advanced detachment in boats, crossed the Dnieper River near the city of Dnepropetrovsk. The fighters stormed the first trench, which provided further expansion of the bridgehead.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 19, 1944, Captain Yalugin Pavel Vladimirovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal for exemplary fulfillment of command tasks and courage and heroism in battles with the Nazi invaders of the guard.

After the war he continued to serve in the army. In 1954 he graduated from the Moscow Construction College. He was the commander of the military construction detachment.

Since 1969, Lt. Col. P.V. Yalugin - in stock. He lived in the hero city of Moscow . He died on March 22, 1990.
