Skip Beat! ( Japanese. ス キ ッ プ ・ ビ ー ト! sukippu bi: "Don’t give up!") - Japanese shojo- manga Yoshiki Nakamura , as well as an anime series based on the first 11 volumes of the manga, which includes 25 episodes. This is the story of Kyoko Mogami, a 16-year-old girl who accidentally discovers that her childhood friend Sho Fuwa is brazenly using her love. The poor girl works for him, pays for an apartment, food, clothes, while a “friend” earns popularity and becomes one of the most attractive men in Japan (“ idol ”). In a rage, she vows to take revenge on him and take away the glory. In Japan, manga has been released since February 2002.

In 2011, a drama of the same name was released in Taiwan (season 1). The main roles were played by Ivy Chen, Choi Shi Won and Lee Dong He.
In April 2010, Comics-Art announced the acquisition of a license for the Russian edition of the manga series Skip Beat [1] and on February 11, 2011 the first volume [2] was released . In the Russian translation, the series is called “Skip Beat! Do not give up!". There are currently 4 volumes.
Protagonists
Kyoko Mogami ( 最 上 京 子 Mogami Kyo: ko ) is a sixteen-year-old girl who left school in Kyoto and went after her childhood friend Sethoro to Tokyo . By chance she learns that he took her with him only as a housekeeper, and swears to take revenge on him. On the second attempt, he enters the LME agency (Akotoki's serious competitors are the Sotaro agencies). First member of the Love me department. Work in the department should return to her the most important thing - "the desire to please." Gradually, she begins to study acting for herself, and not for revenge, and then, thanks to her tenacity and perseverance in the game, Ren Tsuruga takes her seriously. By nature, Kyoko is very economical, she can do any housework well, her hobby is needlework. He loves everything girlish and everything fabulous. In Rene sees the ideal actor, a true professional, an example to follow. Gradually falls in love with him, but drives these feelings away. He well understands the mood of Ren and is very worried about him, noticing the changes taking place in him. Birthday is December 25th.

Ren Tsuruga ( Japanese 敦 賀 蓮 Tsuruga Ren ) is a 20-year-old talented actor and model. He bears the title of the most attractive man in Japan. She accidentally learns that he was friends with Kyoko in childhood, and subsequently uses everything that she remembers to help or make something pleasant. Sho Fuwa ( Japanese 不 破 尚 Fuwa Sho:) is a 16-year-old singer, childhood friend Kyoko, who later betrayed her. In every possible way tries to offend the heroine. Self-confident and arrogant. Challenges Ren, then leaves in failure. He loves Kyoko and is jealous of her for Rena. He believes that Kyoko’s heart is the largest place for him. She also invites Kyoko to shoot the video to see if it is true.

Kanae Kotonami ( Jap. 琴 南 奏 江 Kotonami Kanae ) is Kyoko's girlfriend. She meets her at the casting, in which she went to the last viewing of Family Love. Since she also lacks love, by decision of the president of LME, she becomes the second member of the Love me department.
