Salamat ( French Salamat , Arabic. منطقة سلامات ) is an administrative region in the Republic of Chad . The name was given by the river Salamat flowing through the province.

Geography
The region is located in the extreme south-east of the country and corresponds to the prefecture of the same name located here in the past. In the west it borders with the Middle Shari and Gera regions, in the north with the Sila region, in the southeast with the Central African Republic .
In the Salamat region is the Zakuma National Park .

Economics
