Mikhail Alekseevich Moiseev (born January 22, 1939 , the village of Maly Iver Svobodnensky District, Amur Region , RSFSR , USSR ) was a Soviet and Russian military leader , army general ( 1989 ). Biography
Born on January 22, 1939 in the village of Maly Iver, in the Svobodnensky District of the Amur Region, in the family of a railway worker. He graduated from high school in 1957. He began his labor activity in July 1957, first as a sailor, then as a boiler driver in the division of auxiliary vessels of the Pacific Fleet .
Start of military service
From November 1958 - on military service in the Soviet army , served as a cadet in the 97th separate training tank battalion of a heavy tank regiment of the Far Eastern Military District , then - loading a tank crew. From the troops sent to study. He graduated from the Far Eastern Tank School in 1962 .
Upon graduation, he commanded a tank platoon and a tank company in the 53rd Guards Tank Regiment of the 6th Guards Tank Division of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany , a tank company in the Carpathian Military District . Member of the CPSU since 1962 .
In 1972 he graduated from the Military Academy named after MV Frunze .
