Rosehip oil ( Oleum Rosae ) - vegetable oil from rose hips . It is used in medicine as a wound healing agent: for healing shallow cracks, abrasions of nipples in nursing women, bedsores , dermatoses , trophic ulcers , as well as in the lake . As part of enemas, it is used for ulcerative colitis . Sometimes eaten.

Getting

Rosehip oil is obtained from its finely ground seeds by extraction with organic solvents.

Properties

Oily liquid of orange or brown color with a greenish tint. It has a bitter taste and a specific smell. Contains saturated and unsaturated ( linoleic , linolenic ) fatty acids , carotenoids , tocopherols , vitamin C. It has the following pharmacological properties: regenerative, vitamin, metabolic, adaptogenic, tonic. It is also widely used in cosmetology and cooking [1] .
