Content
Geography
The district is located in the north-east of the Republic of Khakassia , along the left bank of the Yenisei .
History
The district was formed on October 22, 1925 as a result of the division of the Charkovsky district into two districts: Charkovsky with a center in the Charkov ulus and Bogradsky with a center in the village of Sukhaya Tes (later Bograd ).

Economy
In the area there is a leskhoz, a butter and cheese factory, Cattle (state industrial plant), sheep, horses, pigs;
There are deposits of ores of non - ferrous metals and iron , phosphorites , limestones , marble , etc. There is a radon source.
Attractions
On the territory of the region, unique archeology monuments were discovered - Boyar's scribe (II-I century BC), an ancient man’s camp in the Dvuglazka cave ( Paleolithic ) near the village of Tolcheya , monuments of Karasuk and Afanasyevo cultures near the village of Bateni [19] .
Big Mountain (Long Cape) - a complex natural monument of 2 hectares. (formed by the decision of the Khakass Regional Executive Committee of July 21, 1988 No. 164). Geological sediments of the lower Cambrian.
