He resisted the advance of Moscow troops into their possessions, stretching from the foothills of the Northern Urals to the Ob . He repeatedly attacked Russian villages, and in 1455 he reached Ust-Vymi (the capital of the Komi princedom of Vym ), killed the local bishop Pitirim , robbed and burned nearby villages and villages and returned with rich booty to his capital - Pelyma (Pelymsky town) . In 1465, Asyka was captured by the Moscow governor Ustyuzhanin Vasily Skryaba , brought to Vyatka to the coat , but he soon violated his oath. In 1467, according to the Ustyug chronicler , more than a hundred Vyatchans raided the Voguls and Permians , “they fought Vogulich ... the prince of Vogul Asyka” was captured and “brought to Vyatka”. On July 29, 1483, Asyka’s army was defeated in the battle at Pelym (Pelymsky Gorodok) by the “ship's army” under the command of the Moscow governor F. S. Kurbsky-Cherny and I. I. Saltyk-Travin , Asyka fled.

Family

He had two sons - Yumshan (Yusmonapu) and Kolpa , as well as a daughter, married to the Ugra prince Pytkey . Also, according to researchers, the legendary Komi-Permian national hero Prince Kudym-Osh was married to his daughter Koste .
