Azatamut ( armenian Ազատամուտ ) is a village in the Tavush region of Armenia . Previously, Azatamut had the status of an urban-type settlement . The village is located on the right bank of the Agstev River , 16 km north of Ijevan . Not far from the village is the border with Azerbaijan . Nearby are the villages of Ditavan , Achajur and Sevkar . The village has a school and a kindergarten. Due to the lack of a sufficient number of jobs, many villagers are forced to go to work, mainly to Russia . The village has serious problems with water supply. The residents of the village are satisfied with the gas supply and electricity supply. In the village, measures are being taken to improve water supply. As a result of work on water supply, approximately 70-80% of the roads in the village are muddy, and walking on foot has become much more difficult. Residents are not happy, need asphalting. [2] Thanks to the Armenian diaspora , a milk procurement point was created in the village, which worked all year. [3]
