Kassym Besimovich Yakubov ( Uzbek: Qosim Beshimovich Yoqubov ; October 2 [15], 1911 - November 9, 1954 ) - Soviet officer, Hero of the Soviet Union (1944), participant in the Great Patriotic War as assistant platoon commander of the 1323rd Infantry Regiment of the 415th Infantry Regiment divisions of the 61st Army of the Central Front .

Biography
Born on October 2 (15), 1911 in the city of Kokand, now in the Ferghana region of Uzbekistan, in a peasant family. Uzbek . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942. He graduated from 7 classes. He worked at the factory. In the Red Army since October 1942.
On September 27, 1943, the 1323rd Infantry Regiment of the 415th Infantry Division of the 61st Army of the Central Front, in which the assistant platoon commander Junior Sergeant Yakubov served, approached the Dnieper River in the area of the Zmeya farm ( Repkinsky district, Chernihiv region ). A platoon of a junior sergeant with improvised means on the move proceeded to force the river. During the crossing, the commander was wounded. Yakubov took command of the platoon. Under strong enemy machine-gun fire, the soldiers reached the right bank of the Dnieper and seized the bridgehead. For three days of battles, a platoon under the command of Yakubov repelled 17 enemy counterattacks and kept the captured bridgehead, and thanks to the skillful leadership of Yakubov, our losses were insignificant.
For courage and heroism in crossing the Dnieper and holding the bridgehead on its right bank by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on January 15, 1944, Junior Sergeant Yakubov Kasym Beshimovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 2951).
In 1944, K. B. Yakubov graduated from junior lieutenant courses.
Since 1945, Lieutenant Yakubov - in stock. He lived in Fergana . In 1947 he graduated from the College of Light Industry, in 1949 - the republican school of senior workers in light industry. Was at the administrative work.
