Maccabi ( Heb. מועדון כדורגל מכבי תל אביב ) is an Israeli football club from Tel Aviv , part of the Maccabi Tel Aviv sports society. It is the oldest and most titled club in the history of Israeli football . Founded in 1906, the club became the country's champion twenty-three times, twenty-two times the Israel Cup , twice the Asian Cup, and five times the Toto Cup. The club has done a golden double seven times.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is the only team in Israel that has never played in the lower league. The team holds home games at Bloomfield on the fifteen-thousandth arena.
The team is also one of three teams in Israel, along with Maccabi ( Haifa ) and Hapoel (Tel Aviv), which managed to reach the UEFA Champions League group round. At the group stage of the UEFA Champions League of the 2004/05 season, the team took the 4th place in the group, losing to Amsterdam Ajax only in goal difference. In the season 2015/2016, the club re-entered the Champions League group stage. UEFA Champions League home matches of the season 2015/2016 are played at the Sammi Ofer stadium in Haifa .
