Epition ( Latin Epicyon , from the ancient Greek ἐπι- + κύων "super-dog") is a genus of extinct giant canine subfamily Borophaginae . They lived in the Miocene in North America .

The genus contains several species. The type species Epicyon haydeni is the largest canine of all times: height at withers is 90 cm.
