Critical ratings

“... The poetry of Oleg Filipenko is the poetry of vivid images and precise details. The poet takes the reader to his world, captivating with a poetic narrative in which he is a master. Branching off from the main plot, before us are pictures of childhood and adolescence of the lyrical hero. The rich colors of the novel presented by the poet in this book make us vividly feel the atmosphere in which the lyrical hero exists ... "

  • Anastasia Kharitonova , poet, about the novel in verses “The story of a loafer”

“The fool poet entered our literature simply by the steps of the Commander: unless the deaf does not hear. ... if Filipenko hadn’t been, he should have been invented. Like Kozma Prutkov. "

  • Dmitry Kuzmin , critic, about the poem "One Day of the Unknown Poet" [9]

“Unlike the description of one day of the famous“ prisoner hero ”Solzhenitsyn, the hero Filipenko does not count on amnesty. To be a poet is his life sentence and divine gift at the same time. "

  • Alexey Vasiliev , member of the Union of Russian Journalists, from a review of the book “One Day of an Unknown Poet” [10]

“Anastasia Oreshkina-Nikolaeva, in a review of Oleg Filipenko’s short story“ Shame, ”notes: this is“ a spiritual book. About a person who was looking for himself and could not find. But I also see it as a metaphor. Since this book is also about a country. Which did not find itself and decided to start all over again. I mean, of course, the events of the early 1990s, although this metaphor may remind the present of someone. "

Indeed, truly spiritual prose is metaphorical. And the fact that Oleg Filipenko is a great master of words, able to create a character, even more: a hero who is close to all of us, who is a sociotype of a person of the 1990s, a representative of the lost generation, is absolutely certain.

  • Mikhail Rosenzweig , critic, Ph.D., from a review of the book “Shame” [11]
