Etymology
The species is named after the Japanese botanist Sokichi Segawa (1904-1960). The generic name comes from the Greek. cheilos (lip) and schistos (split, cleavage), which refers to the structure of the flower.
The Chinese name is ε€§ θθ θ.

Biological Description
Leaves are missing.
Roots up to 35 cm in length, 2-4 mm in thickness, gray-green. Form a tangled mass. Part of the roots grows to the bark of the tree, part of the air.
A peduncle hanging, curved, 5-12 cm in length, carries 6-15 flowers.
The flowers are 1-1.2 cm in diameter, fragrant, pale yellow, pale yellowish-green, sometimes with a touch of brown or brown-red. Lip 5-6 mm long. Pollinia 0.5 mm in diameter.
Distribution and environmental features

Epiphytes in forests at altitudes below 1500 meters above sea level.
Blooms in spring for 10-15 days.
Winter temperatures in the lowlands range from +14 Β° C to +20 Β° C. In the summer, the average temperature is +26 Β° C, ranging from +21 Β° C to +28 Β° C. Summer, which lasts from May to September, is usually hot and humid, the temperature in July can reach +35 Β° C with a humidity of 80-94%. Precipitation varies greatly depending on the season, area and elevation. [3]
