Biography
Born December 23, 1915 in Petrograd.
She began her creative activity in 1931 with the “Art Movement” and studies at the Gorky Theater School. From 1931 to 1939, Alexandra Delvin worked in the Leningrad Regional Youth Theater in the role of travesty. Then from 1939 to 1948 she served in the Theater of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet.
During these years, she married the artist Ivan Dmitriev , survived the war, the siege of Leningrad, the birth and death of one daughter, the birth of a second, and continued to work in the theater.
In 1948, Alexandra Delvin joined the troupe of the Leningrad Drama Theater (now the V.F. Komissarzhevskaya Theater). During her work in the theater, she played about a hundred roles. Alexandra Delvin played in the performances “Shine, the stars!”, “If the sky were a mirror”, “Forget Herostratus”, “Antiques”, “Chichikov” and others.
Her stage partners were Sergey Ponachevny, Stanislav Landgraf , Ivan Krasko , Alisa Freindlich .
For the role of Inka in the play "Memorable Meetings," Delvin received the Schukin Prize.
On March 9, 2009, after a serious illness, Alexandra Delvin died [1] .
She was buried in St. Petersburg on the Literary bridges of the Volkovsky cemetery .
