History
The Trubnik
The first serious leader of Nikopol city football was the team at the South Pipe Plant team. Since 1936, the team was called Steel. Before the war, she was a regular participant in city and regional competitions. I tried my hand in the championship of the Ukrainian SSR among the teams of physical education .
From 1949 to 1961, the team was called Metallurg. Regularly fought for the USSR Cup and the champion title, which gives the right to participate in the USSR championship . Metallurg was closest to its goal in the 1958 season, when it became second in the final stage. The next few years, the formula for entering the USSR championship was simplified and in 1961 the factory team made its way to class “B”. In transitional games, “Chemist” (Dneprodzerzhinsk) was defeated - 0: 0; 2-0.
For the first time, a team from Nikopol appeared in the USSR Championship in 1962 on April 14 in the city of Yellow Waters under the name “Trubnik”. For all the years of performing in class “B” (1962-1970), the team's best achievement was 4th place in the 1969 zone. After 1970, the team of craftsmen in Nikopol ceased to exist.
Ears
On November 14, 1973, at the initiative of the First Secretary of the CPSU District Committee, Vladimir Ostapchenko, the Kolos Sports Club was founded at the Nikopol District Department of Agriculture. "Kolos" represented the entire Nikopol district, and not just the district center. The club twice became the winner of the USSR Cup among rural teams, won the championship of Ukraine among production teams. Having become champions of Ukraine among teams of physical education teams in 1975, the club received the status of a team of masters and began performing in the championships of the USSR. A year after the debut, Kolos became the bronze medalist of the championship of the Ukrainian zone of the second league ( 1977 ). The new championship is already “silver”, and 1979 brings “gold” and the title of champion of Ukraine among the teams of the second league.
Kolos gained the right to play in the 1st league. In 1982, Kolos really claimed to be in the big leagues. For the tour to the finish, the Nikopol team took on their field their main competitor - Vilnius Zalgiris . After the first half, the hosts were in the lead 1-0. However, that match ended in a draw, and the Kolos season finished third.
In 1988, Kolos left the 1st league and continued playing in the 2nd league.
Metallurg
In the national championships of Ukraine, Nikopol football players started under the name Metallurg in the first league championship . Twice had a chance to rise to the big leagues . In the first championship they finished second, losing in full-time meetings to Krivbass , losing to the Kryvyi Rih residents and a ticket to the major league. In the fourth season , Metallurg was again among the applicants for an upgrade in the class, and then also stopped one step away from the goal, missing the Kirovograd Zvezda-NIBAS and the Borispol CSKA-Borisfen .
Further, the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant began to patronize the club, which led to the renaming of the football club as Elektrometallurg-NZF. In the 2001/02 season , the team dropped into the second league .
In July 2005, at a meeting of the club’s management, it was decided to stop the club’s performances in the Ukrainian championships . On July 19, 2005, by decision of the PFL Bureau, the team was excluded from the PFL [1] .
Since 2006, Electrometallurg has been performing at the amateur level. In the amateur championship of Ukraine in 2006, the team went through a sieve of qualifying stages, but in the final part in its group took the last place [2] .
In the championship of the Dnipropetrovsk region in 2008, the club won silver medals [3] .
