Arthur Iosifovich Rudzitsky (born June 14, 1968 , Kiev ) is a Ukrainian public figure, book historian, translator.
Grandson of the leader of Ukrainian and Russian culture Volodymyr Vaysblat ( 1882 - 1945 ), great-grandson of the chief rabbi of Kiev, Nukhim Vaysblat . He is also related to the photographer Man Rey (real name Emmanuel Rudzitsky), Ukrainian translator Yevgeny Drobyazko and conductor Yuri Fayer (grand-nephew), actor Lev Lemke (cousin nephew).
From the age of 14, he wrote articles on the history of the book. The author of a separate edition of the mural of the contents of the magazine “ Art in Southern Russia ” ( 1991 ) (second edition, supplemented and corrected - 2018 (Almaz Publishing House, New York), books about the artist Emil Pretorius (Kiev: Media-Ukraine, 1992 ) Prepared in ( 1994 ) and in 2019 the Ukrainian translation of the collection of Yitzhok Leibush Peretz, “Folk Traditions”, performed by his grandfather Vladimir Weissblat in collaboration with M. Zerov , and wrote a preface to this publication, translated the memories of the sculptor Jacques Lipschitz about Amedeo Modigliani (1991, Journal l " Vsesvit "). Individual articles are devoted to the life and work of Paul Tychyna , Bruno Schulz , Leonid Massine , Abram Minchin , Tamara de Lempicka and others.
In 1996–2013 he was president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Press Publishers and Distributors ( uk: All-Ukrainian Association of Journalists and Specialists ). Since 2010 - President of the Association of European Journalists. He acts as an expert on the Ukrainian print and periodicals market in the Russian and Ukrainian media [1] [2] [3] .
