Biography

Father - writer and playwright Konstantin Yakovlevich Finn (Finn-Halfin) (1904-1975).

He graduated from the scenario faculty of VGIK (1962). He was a journalist, worked in documentary films and television. Since 1968 he has been writing scripts for feature films. He has been teaching scriptwriters and directors at the Higher Courses for over 20 years, and leads a creative workshop.

Public position

In March 2014, he signed a letter “We are with you!” By the Cinema Union in support of Ukraine [1] .

In 2018, he supported the appeal of the European Film Academy in defense of the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who was imprisoned in Russia, in prison. [2]
