This list lists the incidents in civil and military aviation that occurred in 2008 and entailed the loss of an aircraft and / or human casualties. The list does not include losses that occurred in areas of active military conflict.
In the “Victims” column, the number of deaths / number of survivors is indicated through a slash (for example, 5/1 - 5 dead, 1 survivor). All incidents are presented in chronological order; they can be sorted by type of aircraft and by operator.
The list is based on open sources, is incomplete and may contain inaccuracies.
