Biography
Born in the family of screenwriter Konstantin Lavrentievich Gavryushin .
In 1970 he graduated from the philological faculty of Moscow State University .
Since 1971 he has been working at the Institute of the History of Natural Sciences and Technology , since 1997 - a senior research fellow .
In 1973 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences "Art and the development of science (the formation of the idea of space exploration)." He led the Problem Group for the Study of Monuments of Science and Technology. Member of the Organizing Committee of Readings K.E. Tsiolkovsky (1975-1980). In 1977/1978 and 1978/1979 he taught courses in aesthetics and the history of aesthetic teachings at the full-time and evening departments of the History Department of Moscow State University .
Since 1980, collaborates with the Publishing Department of the Moscow Patriarchate . In the mid-1980s, he lectured on the history of Russian religious thought in the House of Scientists in Protvin , in the State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikova .
Since 1987, he has been a professor of philosophy at the Moscow Theological Academy and Seminary, since 1997 an associate professor, and since 2002 a professor. Since 1997 he has also been teaching at the Minsk Theological Academy .
In 1981-1992 - editor of the annual Monuments of Science and Technology .
In 1997-2000, he was the chief editor of the Theological Bulletin , published by the MDA. Editor of a series of anthologies "Treasury of Russian religious and philosophical thought." The author of more than one hundred printed works on the history of science and philosophy.
The main works are devoted to the history of cosmological ideas and the history of Russian cosmism , religious anthropology and aesthetics, the history of logic in Russia in the XI-XVIII centuries. He identified and studied more than 150 manuscripts of the “Dialectics” of the 11th – 17th centuries, introduced the scientific anthropological treatise of the 17th century , “The Legend of the Porfiry Tree” by A. M. Kurbsky , and a number of works by K. E. Tsiolkovsky . In 1985, published evidence of the authenticity of the Shchukin manuscript " Words on Igor's Regiment ."
