Armenian Airlines

Armenian Airlines is an air carrier that has ceased operations (not to be confused with Armavia and Armenia Airlines ), based at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan .

After gaining independence, in 1991 the state company Armenian Airlines was created, which inherited a fleet of aircraft of the Soviet Republic. The company, which until 1997 worked profitably, but then got into debt. Armenian Airlines was declared bankrupt and ceased to exist in 2004. [one]

On March 27, 2003, by the decision of the Armenian government, all flights of “Armenian Airlines” were transferred to “ Armavia ” airline. [3]
