Biography
He began to sing at the age of four. At an older age, learned to play the button accordion. After a music school in Orel, he entered the Gnesins State Music College , after which he worked as a teacher at the Orel School of Music, and then went to the Sukhumi Philharmonic.
On the recommendation of Yuri Entin, he came to Moscow to Alexei Rybnikov and was accepted into the Moscow Lenin Komsomol Theater . At that time, “The Star and Death of Joaquin Moureta ” was staged at the theater, and Trofimov, in addition to participating in this rock opera (Joaquin's part and the Death's part), taught actors to sing in this genre, studied with Alexander Abdulov , Nikolai Karachentsov , Elena Shanina .
Gennady Trofimov was the lead actor in the rock opera " Juno and Avos " (Count Rezanov’s part in the first edition of the opera). He performed songs in the films “ And this is all about him ”, “ Sold laughter ”, “ Mom ”, “Honor I have”, “ New adventures of captain Vrungel ”, “ Border. Taiga novel ”and others. Also took part in the recording of the cantata“ Ode to the Good Messenger ”by Eduard Artemyev , written by the composer for the Moscow Olympics and later released on vinyl.
