Hesús "Jess" Franco ( Spanish Jesús "Jess" Franco ; May 12, 1930 , Madrid - April 2, 2013 , Malaga [1] [2] ) - Spanish director, actor, cameraman, producer, composer and screenwriter. Franco's work as a director often gained notoriety, and the number of paintings he created sometimes reached 10 per year [3] . In total, he shot 180 films. Franco often literally created his own films himself, at the same time performing the functions of a director, screenwriter, cameraman, composer and actor. He owned his own studio One Shoot Production , engaged in the production of horror films and pornography.

Biography
Jesus Franco was born on May 12, 1930 in Madrid, the capital of Spain. He became interested in music as early as 6 years old, which could not but affect the future: in addition to his main activity, Franco became one of the most famous jazzmen of Western Europe, and several dozen films, including his own, were released with his soundtrack. He started his first films in the late 50s. However, one of the first films that brought fame to the director is the horror film “ Horrible Doctor Orloff ” of 1962. The plot of the film is close enough to the plot of the film " Eyes without a face " directed by Georges Frangieu and tells the story of a doctor-maniac who abducted beautiful girls and transplanted their daughter's face, which was previously disfigured, to restore her beauty. Franco worked closely with producer Erwin S. Dietrich, who himself shot production films under the pseudonym Michael Thomas. Vampire Theme
Jesús Franco made extensive use of vampire themes in his works, while adding a fair amount of erotica and sometimes pornography.
