Luge qualifications at the 2010 Winter Olympics revealed how many athletes and from which countries will be able to compete.

A total of 110 athletes were selected: 80 men and 30 women. Each NOC could exhibit no more than three athletes in individual competitions and no more than two in doubles.

Athlete Criteria

Athletes qualified according to the sum of the results of the 2008–2009 World Cup and the first half (until December 31, 2009 ) of the 2009–2010 World Cup . To enter this list, athletes had to participate in at least five stages of the World Cup, Nations Cup, World Cup among juniors, or take at least the following places at one stage of the World Cup or World Cup among juniors:

  • Single Men - 30th place;
  • Single women - 20th place;
  • Male couples - 16th place.

Host country

The host country ( Canada ) was guaranteed at least one place in each discipline if its athletes met one of the criteria.

Allocation of unused places

If one of the places was vacated, then it was transferred to a country that was not yet represented in this discipline, and not one that was forced to abandon it.
