Content

History

School No. 3 in Gatchina was opened on September 1, 1976 . It is located in a new three-story brick building in the Khokhlovo Pole microdistrict, which by that time was being actively built up. According to the project, the school was designed for 1230 students, but in the first year 1543 students came to study in it. The teaching staff was formed from teachers of schools No. 9, 10 and the basic school of the teacher training college. The director of the school was the honored teacher of Russia Peter Vasilievich Bulkin.

In 1986, the director of the school was the Honored Teacher of Russia Lyudmila Ivanovna Ermakova, and in 1987 - Evgeny Eduardovich Linchevsky. In 1990, for the first time in the Leningrad Region, the academic year was divided not into 4 quarters, but into 3 trimesters. Actively began to develop subject specialization.

In 1991, the school was given the status of a lyceum school. In 1994, E. E. Linchevsky was awarded the title of Honored Teacher of Russia. In 1999, an extension to the school was put into operation, which made it possible to switch to a single-shift training mode.

On April 30, 2008, by the decision of the Council of Deputies of the Gatchina Municipal District, the Lyceum was named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Ivanovich Peregudov .

Learning Process

The lyceum has 33 classes, in which 856 children study. The lyceum has subject specialization in the areas of natural science, technology, philology, industrial technology and socio-economic profile. For the first time in the Leningrad Region, teaching of the course in economics was introduced at the Lyceum.

The Lyceum has 80 teachers, including 2 candidates of sciences , 3 Honored Teachers of Russia , 4 Soros teachers , 1 laureate of the All-Russian contest “Teacher of the Year” . The lyceum also provides a platform for lectures and practical classes to employees of the Petersburg Institute of Nuclear Physics RAS [2] . Every year since 1999, the Lyceum has held a summer scientific school “New Names in Science” with the participation of specialists from PNPI and St. Petersburg University [3] ; The Lyceum Ecological Summer Camp has also become traditional.

In 2008, the Lyceum became a participant in an experiment to introduce a free software package into the educational process.

Achievements

In 2011, the results of the exam in the Lyceum were the highest in the Leningrad Region (according to the director of the Lyceum, and in Russia as a whole) [4] .

Lyceum is traditionally one of the leaders in urban subject Olympiads; So, in the 2002/03 academic year, students of the lyceum won more than half of all prizes in city olympiads [5] . Students of the lyceum successfully perform at astronomical Olympiads. In 2008 and 2001, students of the Lyceum became winners of the All-Russian Olympiad in Astronomy [6] , and in 2008, a student of the Lyceum Masha Volobueva won the XIII International Olympiad in Astronomy in Trieste [7] . Prizes were also won at other All-Russian subject Olympiads, in particular in computer science.
