Biography

Childhood

Taisiya Sergeevna was born and raised in a large family. Father, Sergei Ivanovich, served in the tsarist army, then worked as a turner in a factory; mother, Olga Vasilievna, was a housewife, was engaged in raising children. The family had 6 children: Zinaida, Nikolai, Anastasia, Taisiya, Klavdiya and Valentina. The Osintsev family lived modestly enough, which left an imprint on the life style of Taisiya Sergeevna.

Education

In 1941 , Taisiya Sergeevna graduated from high school with honors. Ahead was the choice of a profession. According to Taisiya Sergeyevna herself, she dreamed of a career as an aircraft designer, she even submitted documents to one of the Moscow aircraft building institutes. But the war began, and my father advised me to stay in my native Izhevsk and enter the medical institute. The students fell on the war years: during the production practice, Taisiya Sergeyevna took the wounded at the station and distributed them to the hospitals of Udmurtia, worked in the purulent surgery department of the military hospital in Mozhga ; repeatedly traveled with other students to peat mining. In 1946 , T.S. Osintseva graduated with honors from the Izhevsk Medical Institute and over the next 3 years studied in clinical residency at the Department of Nervous Diseases under the guidance of Professor E.M. Wiesen.

Degree

In 1958 , T.S. Osintseva defended her thesis on military-neurological examination (supervisor - professor E.M. Wiesen), in 1969 - a doctoral thesis on the problem of chronic meningoencephalitis with epileptic seizures .

Labor

The work of Taisiya Sergeevna is inextricably linked with the Izhevsk Medical Institute (later - the Academy). At the end of the residency in 1949 , T.S. Osintseva led the clinical base of the Department of Nervous Diseases, and also worked as an assistant in the department. In 1960 - 1990 - headed the Department of Nervous Diseases, for 2 years she was vice-rector for academic and scientific work. In 1969 , on her initiative, a medical genetic consultation was opened in Udmurtia , and from the same year a course of medical genetics was joined to the department, and since 1976 , a course of neurosurgery . During her management period, 3 doctoral and 7 master's theses were defended. From 1990 to the last day of her life, Taisiya Sergeevna Osintseva worked as a professor in the Department of Neurology of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy: she conducted practical classes and lectured for students, interns, clinical residents and neurologists of the advanced training faculty. Without exaggeration, we can say that Taisiya Sergeevna accomplished a labor feat: her work experience in one place is 59 (!) Years.

Scientific activity

The direction of scientific activity is the problem of natural focal neuroinfections ( tick-borne encephalitis , lime borreliosis ), prone to chronicity of the process. Professor T.S. Osintseva published about 160 scientific articles and the study guide “Tick-borne encephalitis” (co-authored by academician K.V. Bunin and professor A.I. Chukavina, 1976).

Community Activities

For 30 years T.S. Osintseva was the chairman of the Udmurt branch of the All-Russian Society of Neuropathologists and Psychiatrists and the main neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .

Awards and titles

Cavalier of the Badge of Honor , medal Veteran of Labor , medal For Valiant Labor to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin , Honored Scientist of the RSFSR ( 1986 ), Honorary Academician of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy.

Death Information

Professor Taisiya Sergeevna Osintseva died at the 86th year of her life and was buried in the Khokhryakovsky cemetery of Izhevsk.
