Born July 15, 1945 in the city of Kislovodsk, Stavropol Territory in the family of a military man. Ossetian. In the Communist Party since 1972 .

Education

In 1956 he received his primary education and entered the Stavropol Suvorov Military School . A cadet joined the Komsomol in 1959 . In 1963 he graduated from the Kislovodsk High School with a gold medal and worked as a physics teacher for another year. Since 1964 he studied at the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Activities

In 1971 he was sent to the Higher Red Banner School of the KGB of the USSR. Since that time, he has been working in the system of state security agencies. Since 1973 - in the Central Office of the KGB of the USSR. In 1978, he graduated from the KGB Red Banner Institute and worked for a year in the First Main Directorate of the KGB of the USSR, and then was on a long overseas business trip through the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1984, he returned to the Union and worked in the Central Office of the KGB of the USSR, since 1988 - senior inspector of the Inspection Department of the KGB of the USSR.

In 1990, he was appointed chairman of the KGB of North Ossetia, worked as director of the Federal Security Agency, Minister of Security of the North Ossetian SSR, head of the Office of the Federal Counterintelligence Service of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. In 1994, he was transferred to the position of Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation. On February 25, 1998, Major General Bzayev became Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania

The title of Major General was awarded by Decree of the President of the USSR No. 2399 of August 17, 1991 . His printed works are used as manuals in universities of the security system. He was awarded many orders and medals of the USSR and Russia, an honorary weapon "for special merits to the Russian Federation."
