Kazuyoshi Hoshino ( Jap. 星野 一 義 Hoshino Kazuyoshi , July 1, 1947 , Shizuoka , Shizuoka ) is a Japanese race car driver , a participant in the Formula 1 World Racing Championship. Five-time winner of the Formula Nippon Championship.

Biography
In 1962 he made his debut in motocross , in 1967 he became the champion of Japan in motocross, then he was the factory racer of the Nissan team, in which he became the champion of Japan in motor racing in his class in 1972. In 1974 he made his debut in Formula Racing, the next year he won the Japanese Formula 2000 Championship (the future Formula Nippon), repeated this success in 1977 and 1978. Twice participated in the Japanese Grand Prix of the Formula 1 World Cup as part of the Heros Racing private team: in 1976 he did not reach the finish line on a rented Tirrell , and the next year finished 11th in the Japanese Kojima car. In 1978, he twice appeared at the stages of the European championship “Formula 2” behind the wheel of a car of the same Heros Racing team, both times did not reach the finish line.
In 1987, he won another championship title in the Japanese Formula 2000, transformed into Formula 3000 , after which he switched to touring car and sports car races. In 1990-91, he twice won the Japanese championship in touring and sports cars in a carriage with Toshio Suzuki , in 1992 he won the 24 hour race Daytona with the same Suzuki and Masahiro Hasemi , the next year he won the fifth championship title in the Japanese Formula 3000 and became Japan's vice champion in motor racing in the Touring class. In 1997, he won third place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race on the Nissan R390 GT1 in a carriage with Eric Coma and Masakiho Kageyama . In 2002, he finished his racing career and concentrated on managing the Formula Nippon team Tim Team, which under his leadership won the Formula Nippon Championship six times in a row in 2003-2008.
