Biography
Early years
Born on September 7, 1944 in Kharkov . He lived near the stadium "Dzerzhinets" (now called " Metalist "). From childhood I decided to become only a goalkeeper . In addition to football , he also enjoyed water polo and handball for some time (he also stood at the gate).
Football player career
In 1961 he was in the Avangard team. A few years later he began to be actively involved in the games of the youth national team of the USSR , played in several tournaments.
In 1965 he defended the gates of the Nikolaev Shipbuilder .
Since 1965, he played for the Kirovograd "Star" . In 1969, was spotted by Valery Lobanovsky and in May 1970 he moved to Dnipro . Koltun is the first player of Dnipro, who was called to the USSR national team . In 1974, Konstantin Beskov called him to the away match of the qualifying tournament of the European Championship against the national team of Ireland . He was in reserve, at the gate was Vladimir Pilguy from Moscow Dynamo .

In 1996, Koltuna was invited to the Zenit coach Anatoly Byshovets . When he worked with the USSR national team (1990-1991), Koltun prepared for him goalkeepers for the Euro 1992 selection match against Italy . The match ended with a score of 0: 0.
