Leonid Koltun:

I think that working with Vladimir Yemts and Gennady Zhizdik are the best years of my life.

In 1990, a scandal erupted around the team. Dnipro's coach Yevgeny Kucherevsky, on the eve of the match, ended the quarter-final of the Champions Cup 1989/1990 against Benfica , which sold the leading players - Fierce , Shakhov and Cherednik . Koltun blamed him for it. In 1991 Koltun left Dnipro to Volgograd Rotor . He took with him Ledyakhov , Gerashchenko , Yarovenko and Gudimenko . The team won the USSR championship in the first league.

Koltun was invited to Poltava, but he worked there for 9 days. In Ternopil and Nikolaev, sponsors refused teams. He also worked for a short time in Zhytomyr. In 1995, he became the coach of the Metallurg team ( Zaporizhia ).

In 1996, Koltuna was invited to the Zenit coach Anatoly Byshovets . When he worked with the USSR national team (1990-1991), Koltun prepared for him goalkeepers for the Euro 1992 selection match against Italy . The match ended with a score of 0: 0.

In Zenit Koltun was a breeder in Ukraine. Invited to the team Popovich , Vernidub and Maksimyuk . “Zenith” footballers got it, by football standards, at very low prices. Vernidub cost 30 thousand dollars, Popovich - 70 thousand dollars.

When Byshovets led the Russian team in 1998, Koltun moved from Zenit to Zaporizhia-based Torpedo Club.

In 1999 he returned to the " Dnepr ". Then the team fought for survival.
