Biography
Anderson Mendes Ribeiro was born in the city of Porto Alegre in Brazil. He went through the school of the Internacional club, where he trained with such footballers as Daniel Carvalho and Diogo Rincon .
In 2002, the Vladimir Arsenal coach Vladimir Chumak spotted Anderson Ribeiro in Brazil and invited him to the Ukrainian club. Despite the fact that this club then played in the First League , Ribeiro accepted the offer in the winter season 2002/03 . Thus, he became the first Brazilian footballer in this club. At first, Ribeiro hardly adapted to Ukraine, but after about one year he learned Russian, fell in love with Ukrainian cuisine [2] . He quickly became a favorite of local fans who appreciated him for his openness in communication and playing qualities. In the 2003/04 season, he became the team's top scorer, scoring 15 goals [3] . In total, he played 56 matches and scored 18 goals in Kharkiv Arsenal.
From 2005 to 2009, he played for the Kharkov club, where he was one of the team leaders. In the summer of 2010, he signed a two-year contract with Zaporizhzhya Metallurg [4] . As a member of the team in the championship of Ukraine, he made his debut on July 9, 2010 in an away match against Kiev Arsenal (1-0). In October 2010, together with the club, he won the Kucherevsky Cup , defeating Dnipropetrovsk Dnipro (2: 3) in the final [5] . According to the results of the 2010/11 season, Metallurg took the last 16th place and flew to the First League of Ukraine. In that season, Ribeiro spent 7 matches and scored 1 goal (in the match against Obolon ) in the championship and 1 match in the Cup. Ribeiro could not become the main player of the team due to an injury in the middle of the season [6] .
Personal life
In his family of six brothers, Anderson is the youngest. [7] Meets a Ukrainian girl named Olya, whom he met in Kharkov [2] . Fluent in Russian.
