CIRC (Collectif d'information et de recherche cannabique, France ) is a hemp consumer society. Registered in 1991 , headquartered in Paris , chaired by Jean-Pierre Galland. Society activists publish leaflets and books on the legalization of hemp . The main problem in the work of society is the French law on the “popularization of drugs”, which prohibits the publication of any positive information about psychotropic hemp.
The most high-profile actions of CIRC are the issue of DOUBLE ZERO magazine ( 1995 ) and the distribution of cigarettes with marijuana to all members of the French parliament ( 1998 ). Currently, the activities of society are facing serious difficulties due to the repressive policies of the French government.
