History
In 1984, on the basis of the sports faculty of the Belgorod State Pedagogical Institute (now Belgorod State University ), the volleyball team "Teacher" was formed. Until 1992, she played in the second league of the All-Union Championship , and in the 1992/93 season, taking 4th place in the 1st league of the Russian championship , she received the right to upgrade.
In 1993, the White Stars volleyball club was formed, under the patronage of which the Teacher team passed, changing its name to club. Under the “star” name, Belgorod volleyball players in the 1993/94 season started in the Premier League “B” of the Russian Championship , where they took 8th place. The following season, the team was among the participants in the volleyball championship in the united major league. The debut in the elite was not very successful for the White Stars - only the 11th place and the next two championships the team held a lower class (after the formation of the Super League, the Premier League became the second Russian division).
The team spent the 1996/97 season under a new name - “University” and, taking third places in the major league and the transition tournament, won a ticket to the Russian Women's Volleyball Super League. Here the team from Belgorod at first did not win laurels - 9th, 7th and 8th places, respectively, in 1998 , 1999 and 2000 , but the team’s game (especially in the 1999/2000 championship) showed that success was not far off. The “University” has a stable core of the basic structure, experienced team headed by Raisa Popova . And in the next season, Belgorod was expecting a real breakthrough - 2nd place in the Russian championship . The next two seasons, "University" again rises to the podium, and in 2004 becomes 4th. It should be noted that the team held three “prize” championships with an almost unchanged composition, which included Svetlana Levina, Alexandra Korukovets , Galina Papazova, Larisa Yakunina, Elena Sysunina and Elena Sycheva. But in the future, such an excessive game load on a limited number of players, which led to injuries, the lack of full reserves and large funding problems led to a sharp drop in results. In the 2004/2005 season, the team became only 9th, and in the next - it completely took the last place, having won only two victories for the entire championship.
In 2006, the University moved into the structure of the Lokomotiv-Belogorye Volleyball Club and changed its name to the University-Belogorye . All this was not slow to affect the results. The season 2006/07, the team spent in the Premier League “A” of the Russian championship and confidently took 1st place, regaining their registration in the elite of women's Russian volleyball.

Season 2008-2009
Before the start of the season, the composition of the "University" underwent significant changes. The leaders of the Dutch national teams Debbie Stam (from the Dutch “Martinus”) and the USA Kimberly Glass (from the Turkish “Fenerbahce”), as well as the former Ukrainian Ekaterina Krivets, came to the team. The team left Victoria Kozhina, Natalia Morozova, Anna Simonova, Anna Artamonova, Larisa Sycheva, American Christine Richards and Brazilian Rozangela. The team was headed by a new head coach Andrei Smirnov.
The performance of the team in the season 2008/09 was mixed. In November 2008, the University-Belogorye won the Russian Cup brilliantly, leaving no chance in the semifinals to the current champion Zarechye-Odintsovo, Moscow Region , and in the final to the current championship leader Dynamo Moscow . As of March 2009, Belgorod cities took the place in the top three in the championship. But then the team experienced a serious game recession, having suffered 11 defeats in a row. The result - 7th place.
In January 2009, the team came under the patronage of the Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU) named after V. G. Shukhov and changed its name to “University-Technologist” . This is the fifth name in the 25-year history of the team.

Champions League debut
In the debut Champions League for themselves, “students” were able to leave the group in the “round of twelve”, having played, despite problems with the roster, several bright matches. The victory won in Belgorod on January 13, 2010 can be considered historic at all: rivals from Bergamo were beaten in four games. On that day, the University-Technologist interrupted a series of defeats in European clubs of Russian clubs from Italian clubs, which began in March 2004 and consisted of a total of 27 matches.
In the matches of the “round of twelve” the fight did not work. The Belgorod team, which for a long time lost due to injuries to Natalya Kulikova and Anya Spasoevich, could not oppose the Turkish “Wakifbank”, losing in both meetings with a score of 0: 3.
Team Dissolution
After the season, in which "University-Technologist" took 11th place in the championship of Russia, the dissolution of the team was announced.
