Medal Regulation
The jubilee medal “65 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” is awarded to:
- military personnel and civilian personnel who took part in the fighting on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, partisans and members of underground organizations operating during the Great Patriotic War in the temporarily occupied territories of the USSR, military personnel and civilian personnel who served during the Great Patriotic War World War II in the Armed Forces of the USSR, persons awarded medals "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" , "For the victory over Japan" , as well as persons holding a certificate for the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" , or a certificate of a participant in the war;
- rear workers who were awarded orders of the USSR for selfless labor during the Great Patriotic War, medals " For valiant labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. "," For labor valor "," For labor distinction "," For the defense of Leningrad "," For the defense of Moscow "," For the defense of Odessa "," For the defense of Sevastopol "," For the defense of Stalingrad "," For the defense of Kiev ", “ For the defense of the Caucasus ”, “ For the defense of the Soviet Arctic ”, as well as persons bearing the sign “ Resident of the besieged Leningrad ” or a certificate for the medal “For valiant labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”;
- persons who have worked for at least six months from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945, excluding the period of work in the temporarily occupied territories of the USSR;
- former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of forced detention created by the Nazis and their allies during the Second World War;
- foreign nationals who are not members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, who fought as part of military national formations in the ranks of the USSR Armed Forces, as part of guerrilla groups, underground groups, other anti-fascist formations, who made a significant contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and were awarded state awards of the USSR or Russian Federation.
The anniversary medal is worn on the left side of the chest and is located after the medal "60 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." [3]
Medal Description
The jubilee medal “65 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” - from Tompak , has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 32 mm.
On the front side of the coin is an image of the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, between the lower rays of the star - the numbers "1945 - 2010".
On the reverse side of the coin, in the center, there is an inscription: “65 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”
The edges of the medal are bordered by a side. All images, inscriptions and numbers on the medal are embossed.
The medal, with the help of an eye and a ring, is connected to a pentagonal block covered with a silk moire ribbon of red color. The width of the tape is 24 mm. In the middle of the tape are five stripes; three black and two orange, each 2 mm wide. The extreme black stripes are bordered by orange stripes 1 mm wide. [four]

- The ribbon of the jubilee medal “65 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” exactly repeats the ribbon of the Soviet medal “For the capture of Berlin” . The author of the tape is artist A.I. Kuznetsov (1945).
