Kitaika Konstantin Demyanovich ( 1914 - 1962 ) - battle painter of the studio named after M. B. Grekova , Honored Artist of the Moldavian SSR (1953). K. D. Kitayka was born in 1914 in the Baku province . From the age of 14 he was brought up in army units. In 1942 he graduated from the Moscow Art Institute and went to the front. He went through the war until Victory. The author of many military sketches and studies made on the fronts of World War II. [one]

The most famous works are the equestrian portrait of Major General I.V. Tutarinov and Colonel M.V. Tutarinov (1945), portraits of G.I. Kotovsky (1948, 1950), and the poet M.V. Isakovsky (1950 .), writers B. Polevoy (1949) and Major General P.P. Vershigor (1949).
