Botanical description
Plant up to 50 cm [2] tall, fern with creeping, strongly expanding long branched rhizome . One individual can occupy a significant area.
Flying single. Leaves are light green, triangular or wide triangular in outline; their shares on petioles , twice pinnate; segments of the second order are ovate or lanceolate , pinotalone, usually with blunt, rounded, full-end terminal lobes.
Soriu without bracts , removed from each other. Disputes in the European part of Russia ripen in June - July.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 160 [3] .
Dissemination and ecology
An ordinary golokuchnik is common in Europe (but rarely in the south) [4] , in the Caucasus , in Central Asia , Japan , China , and North America . [five]
In Russia, it is found everywhere in the forest belt [2] .
It grows predominantly in dark coniferous ( spruce ) and mixed forests , on poor and moderately wet soil , often growing in the gaps of the crowns and sometimes in clearings - on small logging residues; on rocks, stony slopes, scree [2] . Everywhere is ordinary.
Economic value and application
Steroids , carotenoids and waxes have been found in rhizomes [2] .
Infusion and tincture of leaves (inside), as well as steamed leaves (topically) are used as an analgesic for arthralgia , dislocation of the shoulder joint, the infusion (local) for mastitis , bruises, ulcers, wounds, inside for scabies [2] .
In veterinary medicine, a decoction of the leaves is used for respiratory infections in horses, and pounded and steamed leaves are used for lameness, bruises, and dislocations in horses [2] .
The precipitate during evaporation of the acetone extract of the leaves exhibits gibberellin - like properties [2] .
