Biography

Born in Kharkov, in the family of a district official of the boundary office of Pervukhin Konstantin Pavlovich. Brother - writer Mikhail Pervukhin .

He received his initial art education in a real school from D.I. Bezperchy .

At the end of a real school from 1884 to 1885 he studied at the Kharkov drawing school M. D. Raevskaya-Ivanova [1] .

From 1885 he lived in St. Petersburg, took private lessons from I.E. Repin , from 1886 to 1887 he was a volunteer at the Imperial Academy of Arts , workshop of associate professor of the Academy P.P. Chistyakov .

Since 1887, an exhibitor of the Partnership of Traveling Art Exhibitions , on March 2, 1899, was admitted to the Partnership [6] . The paintings “Autumn at the End” (1887), “Winter Evening” (1888) were purchased from the author by P. M. Tretyakov [7] .

In 1902 he moved to Moscow. From 1902 to 1912 he was a teacher at the Imperial Stroganov Central Art and Industry College .

Since 1901, the exhibitor of the exhibition "36 artists." In 1903, Pervukhin, together with A. M. Vasnetsov , S. V. Ivanov , A. E. Arkhipov , S. A. Vinogradov , A. S. Stepanov and I. S. Ostroukhov , signed an application to leave the Association of Traveling Artistic exhibitions [8] [9] , becomes one of the founders of the Union of Russian Artists [5] .

As an illustrator, he collaborated with the magazines Yearbook of the Imperial Theaters , Picturesque Review of the Countries of the World , World Illustration , and Nov. He was fond of photography, on October 27, 1910 he was accepted into the Russian Photographic Society in Moscow [10] .

He died in 1915 in Moscow. He was buried at the Don cemetery .
