Grieving Church (Tver)

The Sorrow Church (Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-giving Spring", the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow") - the Tver and Kashin diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church , is located in Tver in the southern part of Volodarsky Street (former Sorrowful Street).

The church was built in 1780-1792 on the site of a burnt wooden church. During the years of Soviet power it was closed, in the 1970s it was reconstructed, since 1991 - the existing, by status - parish church [1] .
