Biography
Karanta began his career at the Instituto club, during which he spent 139 matches at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries . In 2005, he joined the Mexican club Santos Laguna, where he became a solid base player and played 47 matches in 2005 and 2006.
On February 10, 2007 he made his debut for Boku Juniors in the game against Banfield (4-0). Karanta was the main goalkeeper of Boki in 2007-2008. Together with the Genoese, he won the 2007 Libertadores Cup . In December of the same year, he participated in the club world championship in which Boca reached the final , but lost to Milan 2-4.
In early 2009, due to a conflict with Boki coach Carlos Ischia, he was expelled from the team, but for several months he continued to be in the club’s application. This event served as a catalyst for the return to the “Boca” at that time, Argentina goalkeeper Abbondansieri . At the end of March, it was announced that Karanta would sign a contract with Lanus .
In 2012-2015, Karanta played for Rosario Central, which he helped in 2013 to return to Example. In 2016, along with Taliers from Cordoba Quaranta, for the fourth time in his career, he won Example B Nacional and obtained a ticket to the top division.
