Army Patrol Around Captured Headquarters
Border Guards Riot - Bangladeshi Riflemen armed uprising in Dhaka on February 25, 2009. One of the main demands of the rebels was to increase salaries. To fulfill their requirements, they seized the headquarters of their unit during a meeting of the command staff. In response, army units blocked the center of the rebellion and advanced an ultimatum. On February 26, the rebels surrendered. The number of victims of sporadically flashing skirmishes reached 81 people [1] .
In 2014, a Bangladesh court sentenced 152 border guards to death. [2]
