Valencian widow ( Spanish: La viuda valenciana ) - a comedy in 3 acts by Lope de Vega . The plot is taken from the Italian short stories by Matteo Bandello . Composed in 1604, the final version - in 1619. The first edition is 1620.
The Russian translation of M.L. Lozinsky was staged for the first time on March 26, 1940 by the Leningrad Comedy Theater (dir. - Veniaminov, Lisandro - Letsky, Urban - Sukhanov and Sukharevskaya, Marta - Skopina, Floro - Filippov, Celia - Barabanova, Rosano - Volkov). The performance was shown in Moscow during the days of Leningrad art in 1940.
On November 15 of the same year, the premiere took place at the Moscow Lenin Komsomol Theater (directed by I.N. Bersenev and S.V. Giatsintova , she is also the performer of the role of Leonarda, artistic director Kozlinsky , comp. A.I. Khachaturian , dances - Burmeister ; Camilo - Fröhlich and Palin, Lucensio - Maruta, Oton - R. Ya. Plyatt , Valerio - Vovsi, Lisandro - Plotnikov, Urban - Sokolova, Marta - Parkalab and Sergeeva, Celia - Koshkina).
The play was also staged by the Art Theater of the Latvian SSR (1952), Kostroma Theater (1945), Stalingrad Theater (1940), Kuibyshev Theater (1941), Ivanovo Theater (1948), Lipetsk Theater (1953), Omsk Theater (1955), Tyumen Theater ( 1959) and others.
