"Lviv" from the city of the same name in Ukraine existed from 1992 to 2001 . He played in the Second and First League of the Ukrainian Football Championship.

Ascent to the first league (1992-1995)
The team was created in the spring of 1992 , and already in the summer of next year the team became the champion and winner of the city cup and the absolute champion of the region . This success allowed the club to represent Lviv in the national football championship of Ukraine . For two seasons of 1993/94 and 1994/95 , FC Lviv went through two football divisions.

FC Lviv prepared a lot of players for performances at the highest level. Coach-breeders of the team were looking for talented youth in the Lviv sports boarding school, the club management tempered them in the fights of the first league , and eventually sold them for financially powerful clubs. So, Oleg Garas ( Lokomotiv Moscow , Fakel Voronezh , Karpaty Lviv ), Dmitry Semochko ( Karpaty Lviv , Uralan Elista , Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk ), Yuri Wirt began their careers in FC Lviv. ( Shakhtar Donetsk , Metallurg Donetsk , Ukrainian national team ), Marjan Marushchak ( Dynamo Kiev , Transcarpathia Uzhgorod , Obolon Kiev ), Vitaliy Postransky ( Rotor Volgograd , Krivbass Kryvyi Rih , Vorskla -Neftegaz ” Poltava ,“ Volyn ” Lutsk ).
In the summer of 2001, after merging with the Lviv Carpathians , the club ceased to exist. His place in the first league was taken by Lviv Karpaty-2 .
