Biography

Uyghur writer and poetess in Kazakhstan , member of the PEN International Writers Association.

She wrote the words for the songs performed by the group “ Dervishes ” and Nurbuvi Mametova. Durnyam Mashurova became known for the documentary novel “Not In vain Living Life” (“ A Life Lived Not in Vain ”), describing the life of her late husband Azat Mashurov , which was published in Uyghur in 2005. This book was translated into Russian in June 2007.

At the end of 2009, a surreal short story entitled “Ana Mirasi” was published in Uyghur, and in December 2010 a translation of a book in Russian called “Testament of the Mother” was published , Almaty, Zhazushi, 2010. Mashurova also regularly prints her essays in the newspaper Uyghur Avazi .

Her daughter Dilyaram married Karim Masimov .
