History

  • In 1751-1755, Serbs , Wallachians , Moldavians , Bulgarians and Montenegrins arrived in the territory of the Slavianoserb district and formed a number of military settlements of Slavic Serbia, hereinafter referred to as companies . In the same county, in 1750-1760, schismatics who fled and were forgiven by the government settled [2] .
  • Since 1802, the Slavyanoserbsky district was part of the Ekaterinoslav province .
  • In 1897, 174,753 people lived in the Slavyanoserbsky district, including Ukrainians (Little Russians) - 88,218, Russians - 79,281, Jews - 2,631 [3] .
  • In 1920, the Slavyanoserbsky district was transferred to the newly formed Donetsk province , where in January-December 1920 the district was canceled with the transition to division into districts, and then restored.
  • In 1923, the Slavyanoserbsky district was abolished during the transition to the device of the province-district-district.

Compared to other counties, many Moldovans and Serbs lived in the Slavianoserb district.
