History

As part of the city of Kuntsevo, there was Krasnaya Gorka Street , rising up a hill from Mozhayskoye Shosse , and then turning left and adjoining Tolbukhin Street . After the inclusion of the city of Kuntsevo in Moscow in 1960 and the beginning of mass housing development in the area of the newly laid Kubinka Street , the part of Krasnaya Gorka Street rising to the hill was destroyed: numerous panel five-story buildings were built in its place. Only the section between Tolbukhin Street and Kubinka Street was preserved , which received a new name in 1966 - Zaporizhzhya Street.

The street was named on August 2, 1966 [2] in the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhye in connection with its location in the west of Moscow . [3]
